Como todo, antes de crear un aula virtual debemos estar preparados y consciente del enfoque que tendrá nuestra aula o curso, es por ellos que te muestro unos tips para que tu experiencia en Moodle sea satisfactoria.
Debes iniciar creando un título y los objetivos que tendrá el curso en particular. Como a su vez los requisitos y duración, esto lo puedes realizar en Microsoft Word para luego ser plasmado en Moodle de forma sencilla.
En segundo lugar, debes crear un programa de cómo se llevará a cabo tus cursos en esta aula virtual, y cómo se dividirán los contenidos para que sean didácticos para el alumno.
Por Último, crear todos los contenidos. Moodle te permite utilizar herramientas para tus enseñanzas, como son videos, presentaciones en powerpoint, Excel, textos y evaluaciones.
Por lo que ya al conocer el programa de estudios puedes desarrollar los temas de forma en que capte la atención de los estudiantes y a su vez puedan entender con facilidad los temas a tratar.
Es decir, tómate tu tiempo para crear los contenidos que plasmarás, ya que de eso dependerá el éxito que tengas como instructor de un aula virtual en Moodle. Así que sin más preámbulos conozcamos la forma de plasmar tus conocimientos en esta plataforma.
¿Cómo crear un aula virtual en Moodle?
Anteriormente debiste haber creado tu usuario y contraseña una vez finalizada el proceso de instalación en tu ordenador, por lo que ya al tener acceso a esta plataforma verás que del lado izquierdo se encuentra el panel de control, donde podrás controlar o configurar todo lo que Moodle tiene para ti.
- Primer paso: una de las opciones que se encuentra en el panel la palabra “cursos”. Al dirigirte allí podrás indicar el curso que deseas impartir en modo de categoría. Te pedirá información como título, descripción y una imagen para ayudar a visualizar tu curso.
Un consejo muy práctico es que la imagen utilizada sea fácil de visualizar, llamativa y que aun en vista miniatura se pueda ver de forma nítida y muy claro el mensaje.
- Segundo paso: El formato en que deseas impartir. Esto hace relación al modo en que se desarrollara tu curso, ya sea por temas, contenidos o por lapsos de tiempos. El formato más utilizado en la actualidad es mediante los temas.
Debido a que los docentes han examinado que sus alumnos progresan más mediante la utilización de temas como formato de contenidos, sería el modo más apropiado de categorizar tus programas.
- Tercer paso: Ingresar los videos, textos, presentación en PowerPoint o Excel que ya has creado con anterioridad para el desarrollo de los temas o contenidos a tratar en tu aula virtual.
- Cuarto paso: Debes configurar tu página de tal modo que sea vistosa para tus alumnos. Si los temas son muy extensos, lo recomendable es colocar un tema por página.
Recuerda que la organización de tu aula virtual en Moodle es lo que permitirá el crecimiento de la misma. Ya que al tener los temas debidamente organizados las personas tendrán un deseo mayor de conocer el conocimiento que será impartido.
- Quinto paso: Rastreo de finalización, esto te permitirá analizar la forma en que tus alumnos van realizando sus clases. Lo puedes activar en la configuración de la página.
También será una herramienta de ayuda para los alumnos permitiéndoles ver su progreso y a su vez puede ser una forma de alentarlos a continuar hasta el final de forma satisfactoria.
- Sexto paso: Ahora podrás añadir los exámenes o evaluaciones que realizaras al finalizar una clase, curso o tema. Permitiendo evaluar la comprensión de tus contenidos y así calificar a los usuarios que participan en el aula virtual.
- Por último te recomiendo utilizar la opción “Renombrar Rol” que permite al tutor que imparte el curso “cambiar de rol” y colocarse como alumno. Esto permite visualizar tu propio contenido de la forma en que un alumno lo vería.
Realmente Moodle te permite llevar a cabo un aula virtual diferente a otros programas que existen en la web. El modo en que se opera en la misma, hace que la experiencia sea agradable y una forma moderna de impartir tus conocimientos en internet.
