Moodle cloud es una plataforma de código abierto posicionada a nivel mundial alojado en la nube, por medio del cual podrás crear tu ambiente de enseñanza aprendizaje fácilmente.
Además, es un servicio de hosting con especialización en Moodle. Este servicio utiliza tecnología de la nube para reforzar las exigencias y necesidades del programa CMS Moodle. Esta plataforma (Moodle cloud), es afín o compatible 100% con Moodle.
Este hardware es muy seguro, pues te garantiza una excelente operatividad de Moodle en la nube todo el tiempo, es decir, al conectar Moodle como al correo en tiempo real con alumnos viendo clases en línea.

Pasos para crear tu propio sitio web en Moodle Cloud.
1.Accede al siguiente enlace: MoodleCloud Signup para crear tu cuenta nueva. En este apartado tienes la opción de elegir entre los planes pagos o gratuitos ya que es una plataforma Fremium.
2. Una vez que aceptes los términos de servicio, procede a rellenar todos los campos con tus datos.
3. Luego espera un código de verificación que te llegará por mensaje de texto al número que colocaste en los datos. Esto te permitirá configurar tu site Moodle.
4. Al introducir el código ya podrás crear tu contraseña y guardarla. Recuerda que tu contraseña debe tener un alto nivel de seguridad.
5. Ahora das Clic en continuar para colocar el nombre de tu aula virtual, que será tu propia plataforma.
6. Selecciona el lugar de alojamiento, en este caso debes colocar el más cercano a tu localidad. Tienes tres opciones: Irlanda, Australia y Estados Unidos.
7. Luego de realizar estos pasos estás más cerca de tener tu sitio en Moodle cloud, sólo debes empezar a explorar su sencilla interfaz.

Dentro de la plataforma Moodle cloud, encontrarás algunas funcionalidades dónde podrás ver la cantidad de usuarios conectados, tus mensajes y el espacio utilizado.
También tienes opciones dentro de tu perfil qué puedes modificar en cualquier momento.
Accediendo directamente al menú vas a encontrar, los cursos creados, archivos y usuarios en línea. Por ser una cuenta nueva solo verás un curso de introducción a Moodle, es una guía para conocer la plataforma.
Para trabajar en tus cursos es muy importante que conozcas el menú que está debajo del perfil, pues tiene acciones como: activar edición, editar ajustes, filtros, copia de seguridad, restaurar entre otras. Son imprescindibles a la hora de alojar tus cursos.
Felicidades en este momento ya tienes tu propia plataforma y ya has explorado los elementos que la componen, sólo debes entrar directamente a la dirección que has generado con tu nombre, ahora puedes empezar a subir tus cursos con estos sencillos pasos:
1.Ya en tu sitio debes ubicar la opción «Administración del sitio» en el menú de la izquierda.
2. Luego hacer click en cursos y luego se despliega una pestaña que dice «administrar cursos y categorías». Es importante colocar la categoría con la que podrás distinguir cada curso. Puedes

4. Ya está creada la categoría, ahora solo vas a crear el curso, para ello colocas el nombre deseado y eliges la categoría que previamente habías creado para ese curso.
5. Los siguientes campo a llenar son: visibilidad del curso fecha de inicio del curso, fecha de finalización, número ID del curso.
6. Inmediatamente debes escribir una pequeña descripción de tu curso y los archivos que desees subir.
7. Luego eliges el formato del curso u guardas todos los cambios.
Mientras vas estructurando tu curso puedes visualizar lo que llevas creado solo dando clic al nombre corto de tu curso.
